enhancing project precision

inform everyone involved with what is happening from an aerial perspective on the project site with extreme precision

Drone mapping and photogrammetry bring precision, efficiency, and valuable insights to construction planning. Using high-resolution aerial imagery, photogrammetry captures every detail of a site, converting them into accurate 3D models and maps. Enabling you to measure distances, assess topography, and detect potential issues before breaking ground. Together, they streamline project planning and reduce costly errors, giving contractors and teams a clear, data-driven view to make faster, well-informed decisions throughout a project.

Getting a clear aerial picture of a large area for a project can inform all project stakeholders on what the lay of the land is, how logistics may be impacted by travel routes, where areas of concern may be located, to name a few.

accurate site analysis

GET PRECISE INSIGHTS FROM THE START

Drone mapping delivers high-resolution images and 3D models that offer a true-to-life representation of the site, helping identify topographical challenges and providing exact measurements. This ensures your planning is based on real, detailed data from the start.

real-time progress monitoring

STAY UPDATED & TRACK PROGRESS EFFICIENTLY

Drones provide ongoing site scans, capturing changes in real time. This helps contractors monitor progress, verify alignment with plans, and quickly identify and address discrepancies, keeping projects on schedule and within budget.

enhanced safety & cost savings

MINIMIZE RISKS & REDUCE OPERATIONAL COSTS

By using drones, teams can survey hazardous or difficult-to-reach areas safely from above, reducing the need for manual inspections. This not only improves worker safety but also cuts down on costs related to time, labor and equipment.

Atomic Drone Mapping

In one of our more recent and challenging projects, ToPa 3D was contracted to perform a somewhat complex volume calc of a mining quarry in South Carolina. A special shout out to our team member, Dr. Anson Hancock who processed this project and who seems to have no fear of any project - regardless of size or complexity.

Our mission was to produce a 3D model that could provide a rough order of magnitude of the quarry volume in specific areas. With a drone and 20mp camera, our team generated a 3D model using Pix4Dmapper software, tying the imagery captured into an orthomosiac and 3D model. We also generated a point cloud that would later be converted to Recap and imported into Autodesk's Civil3D 2020 software package.

[ToPa 3D’s team] is working at the cutting edge of 3D capture and modeling and aside from being a professional in his field, he is a wonderful person, extremely helpful to others, and always trying to innovate and collaborate. He also writes highly informative articles for various magazines and I always enjoy reading his work. I highly recommend Paul.

The ToPa 3D team has help Emerio's team in every step of the way, not only with processing the data, but clear and helpful communication for the project. This is something that made me realize working with Paul and his Team is a long term relationship, one that we will utilize on all upcoming projects.

Recently we had aerial topography work done at one of our mine sites here in South Carolina. Traditionally we would have an airplane fly over using expensive methods to capture this data. Fortunately we found ToPa 3D, a company that uses drones to collect imagery and then transform this information into really cool 3D maps! We are proud to be on the leading edge of technology in the mining industry, and thank ToPa 3D for their innovative services. [They] are a very professional staff using the most advanced equipment. These guys were able to quickly give us all the data we needed! Highly recommended.
- Ryan Williams, owner of Atomic Gravel and Sand

ToPa 3D went above and beyond on my project, which involve shooting half a dozen remote and undeveloped parcels for stills and video. They also provided a color enhancement service, which was done exceptionally well. I would hire them again in an instant, and recommend that you do too!
